Started Personal practice:
I began my personal practice around 2005 at the invite of a dear friend. I was amazed from the get go. I knew I needed this in my life but it was a challenge to maintain it due to having young kids and running my own business. It was years later that more time became available and my practice became more frequent.
Teacher Trainings including the year of them:

Reason you started your personal practice:
I became a more regular practitioner later in 2016 when I decided I needed to reduce stress and dig deeper into my own wellbeing both physically and mentally. I knew from the practice years ago that this would be a great way to begin my healing journey after going through a lot of life changes and I was ready to let go of the past and looked forward to a bright and happy future.
Why you like to teach:
I’ve always wanted to be a teacher when I was in high school but then that path didn’t work for me, I also have always wanted to teach fitness classes of some kind too. When I decided to open up a Yoga studio in 2017 I realized that this was the opportunity I was looking for. I love to teach because I love to see how much people can relax during a session and I enjoy the social aspect of chatting with participants. If you attend my class you can expect me to chat a fair bit through the class.
Funny moments in class or while teaching:
The funniest moment is during savasana a student fell asleep and after the rest of the class moved to seated positions that person was still snoring away so everyone got up quietly and left the room while they kept sleeping. They did wake after about 5 minutes more rest and while it was funny it was also an honour to have someone feel so comfortable that they could sleep that deeply.
Favourite poses:
I love pigeon pose in any variation, legs up the wall and humble warrior are my top three of all time.
